A CENTURY OF SERVICE
Our history dates to 1909, when Myron Green founded Kansas City’s first cafeteria. Ten years later he co-founded the National Restaurant Association. In 1961 the Myron Green Company entered into food contract management. In 1975, Vending Services were combined with Cafeteria Services. Treat America Limited was first established in the Kansas City area in 1977. The original business was Cooperative Service Vending and Office Coffee Service. In 1987, Treat America Limited changed to Full Service Vending, still a core business today. In 2001, Myron Green merged with Treat America Limited. This partnership greatly expanded growth potential by providing the ability to bid on the largest food and vending accounts in the Midwest. In January of 2002, both Corporations began doing business under one name: Treat America Food Services. In 2011, we launched our micro market initiative, Company Kitchen, which has since grown from a fledgling concept to a vital component of our service portfolio. In 2019, our company was acquired by Compass Group, the largest food service company in the world, and we continue to grow and thrive as part of their Canteen division.
